The most tedious thing about slinging is loading the pocket. If you've ever been annoyed by hold your sling really high and trying to gingerly balance the projectile in the pocket while it's pendulum-ing back and forth only to have the projectile fall out before you sling... then you need to learn the fast load. The fast load, as demonstrated below keeps you in control of the sling the entire time. First, holding the pocket with your free hand, you load the pocket with your slinging hand. Second thread your slinging hand so that when you slide your hand down the stays the handle and trigger will fall into their proper place in your hand. At this point you're ready to go.
